Explore the beauty of Croatia by yacht

A beautiful European escape, Croatia offers its visitors golden sand beaches, historical walled cities, crystal blue seas, and a rich culture to explore. The region is bursting with thousands of islands with inviting coastlines and is the perfect place to explore on a private yacht charter. A seven-day itinerary will take you to the country's must-visit hotspots as well as the quieter, off-the-beaten-track destinations not easily found by tourists.

DAY 1 - Dubrovnik and Lokrum

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will begin your yacht charter in this ancient city. Before boarding your yacht, spend some time walking the cobblestone streets and take in the “Pearl of the Adriatic’. Although renowned across the world for its history, modern Dubrovnik has established itself as a premier foodie destination, so enjoy Michelin Starred restaurants for lunch before embarking on your charter. Join your yacht in the early afternoon and anchor in front of the old town, the perfect launching point for exploring Lokrum – an uninhabited island just in front of the old city.

DAY 2 - Kolocep and the Elaphiti Islands

Start exploring the picturesque archipelago of the Elaphiti Islands with an overnight anchorage at the beautiful island of Kolocep. In pristine condition, there are almost no cars allowed on the island. Enjoy a beach day at either Dun Djivan or Donje Celo, or for some more vigorous activity, the island has many walking trails with cliff-top views that will take your breath away. Cruise the short distance to neighbouring Sipan, the largest of the Elaphiti Islands, which is a fantastic option for dinner and drinks – don’t miss Beach Bar Bowa for a lively evening.

DAY 3 - Mljet

Cruise to the scenic Polace Bay and get ready to experience a destination like no other: Mljet National Park. Croatia’s greenest island, two saltwater lakes are surrounded by a lush forest and provides the perfect backdrop for cycling, swimming, and paddle-boarding. The island doesn’t just offer beautiful scenery but also interesting historical and cultural sightseeing, including a 12th-century Benedictine monastery and a cave that is alleged to have housed Odysseus after being shipwrecked.

DAY 4 - Lastovo

Peace and tranquillity await you on this remote island. Proudly boasting the title of the ‘Youngest Croatian Nature Park’, Lastovo has a strange association with the number 46: there are 46 small islands, it has 46 churches, 46 hills, and 46 fruit farms, olive groves, and vineyards. Enjoy walking around the island or take a tender to explore the small, hidden bays and islets. Take a dip in Ropa, a natural turquoise pool in the Zaklopatica bay before enjoying one of the island’s fresh seafood restaurants.

DAY 5 - Korcula

An island famous for its history, sail to Korcula to explore the beautiful homeland of Marco Polo. The Old Town is well worth a visit to learn about the unique past of the town – its striking appearance is thanks to its association with the Republic of Venice from the 14th to the 16th century. For wine connoisseurs, the island’s most famous tipple is Posip and there are multiple vineyards to enjoy throughout your day. Often voted one of Croatia’s most romantic islands, head back to your yacht in the evening to admire the sunset from your private oasis.

DAY 6 - Vis

A popular destination thanks to its appearance in the Mamma Mia film, sail to Vis in the morning and explore one of the Adriatic’s most beautiful spots. The mesmerizing Blue Cave is located on the island of Bisevo and is best reached by tender – head out first thing to avoid the crowds. For lunch enjoy one of Vis’s many quaint restaurants that serve fresh local fish and traditional Croatian cuisine.

DAY 7- Hvar

Officially the sunniest place in Croatia, Hvar has garnered a reputation in the past few years for its party atmosphere, so is the perfect place to end your charter with a bang. However, there is a slower pace of life to be found here, with lavender fields blanketing the hillsides in stunning purple flowers throughout the year. Take a tender and cruise the string of Pakleni otoci (also known as the Resin Islands) for a romantic sailing experience before dinner in the old town.

LOCATION HOTSPOT: VIS

A laid-back island with a small local population, Vis is a gem in the heart of the Adriatic. A place to relax and get away from the crowds, Vis offers visitors a perfect mix of the traditional Croatian lifestyle and luxury experiences. An ideal place for those on their honeymoon, families who love the outdoors, or nature-lovers, Vis is a picturesque island waiting to be discovered.
